Blepharoplasty
The eyes are not only the first thing most people notice about a person, but they are also typically the first feature to show signs of aging. While some patients may have successfully fought back against the natural aging process using home treatments, others who struggle with severe sagging and puffiness may require plastic surgery. Blepharoplasty, or eyelid lift surgery, is a procedure that can address the upper and lower eyelids to rejuvenate the face and make patients look younger.
Upper Eyelid Lift
Removes fatty deposits that cause the upper eyelids to appear puffy and droopy. This technique can also improve loose skin beneath the brow that impedes vision or disturbs the natural contour of the eyelid. Incisions will be concealed within the natural folds of the upper eyelid.
Lower Eyelid Lift
This technique can address excess skin, fine lines, and wrinkles on the lower eyelid. It can also treat sagging skin and bags under the eyes. The incision will be located just below the lower lash line. The transconjunctival approach is an alternative technique that involves an incision inside the lower eyelid.

The blepharoplasty procedure is a minimally invasive one. It involves Dr. Hopkins addressing the upper or lower eyelids, sometimes both, and getting rid of excess skin and fat. The procedure may leave a small scar, but it is barely visible when the eye is open and alert.
